One thing that really irritates me..wait wait..i d rather say one thing that really kills me to sleep is a boring conference or meeting..especially the ones where your boss or superior talks with an infinite viscosity!!..sheesh…my upper eyelids would weigh around zillion tonnes those moments..LOL..

And suppose you had a bad night the previous day..lets say a late nite movie or football show..or lets say a late hangout with friends..that leaves you with just a few hours of sleep which just mounts up to the gravitational force your upper eyelids are subjected to,right under ur boss’ nose!..

Obviously,most of us are desperate not to fall asleep, but end up cutting a sorry figure in front of your boss..so here are a set of activities which you could try out on a boring Monday morning conference,that could help you with not falling asleep….btw,its not ranked in anyway..i am just randomly listing them down in the order that comes out from my head;)

1. Chewing gum-the single most effective measure in not fallin asleep..but make sure you dont show too much of your gum outta ur mouth,..can be irritating to certain people
2. Mobile games- in case your attention is not required much for the meeting and you happen to be lucky enough to be sittin miles away from your boss,you could try out mobile gaming..i d recommend racing games..keeps you alert..even d simple snake game would do..note:dont hold me responsible if your boss catches you playing!!
3. Making faces at your colleagues -ahaaa..now this is my favourite and the most frequently tried one..LOL..in case your thinking whether i ve gone nuts, i am serious..try it out..it ll keep your colleagues also awake!!
4. For those of you who are really good at drawing, you could try out drawing your boss’ face on a piece of paper…its got the added advantage that you are always alert n lookin at your boss..safest technique right?
5. Clickin pics of your face in diff poses with the front cam of your mobile ..
6. Miss calling your fellow colleagues at the conference
7. Removing your shoes and wearing them again over n over(keep doing that at 10 times per hour till the meeting gets over )..PS:this advice does not apply to people with stinky socks!!..hihi
8. Toilet breaks..but plsssss dont take such breaks anywhere close to the rates mentioned above okayyy ..
9. Play nought and cross with your neighbouring colleague
10. Read your conference materials backwards!!..hihi..crazy but really effective..trust me..i ve tried it!!

For those of you who still cant help fallin asleep,follow tip no 8 n never return back ..hihi..

Yep you read it right..i am waiting for youuuuuuuuuuuuu…kk before you even think about replying “then here i am”:D ,i am talkin about the month of June here:P

Yeah i cant wait anymore for June to begin..n now that its already 30th of may,i can clearly feel the excitement building up in me…wondering wats so exciting about june, when all its known for, is the heavy rains and boring vacations?..kk lemme give u a sniff of why i am longing for june..

There’s the European football championships gonna start this 7th!!….n its gonna be a battlefield at hostel from next week..i heard the matches are telecasted post midnight..so i am gonna have sleepless nites screaming at the top of my voice at the opposite fans no matter which team scores:D

I aint talkin much on euro here though..coz i am gonna talk seriously on dat in my coming posts..hehehe…i ll just say here that I am a die hard fan of Spain…n i gotta learn some spanish somehow now..hehe

I heard the spanish people esp the girls look really pretty..need any more non footballing reasons to be a fan of Spain;) hehehe

N All those in my hostel reading this please note..i am collecting funds for buying a huge spain flag and a few posters..now lemme see how good a spanish fan you are;) meet me at my room with your purses:D

Besides euro,i am really excited about the prospect of buying a new car this june..my present car drinks petrol, not in liters..but in barrels or even in tanks i guess:D

And there are rumours of petrol price hike by atleast 10 rs in the coming few months..if thats the case,i am gonna have a huge huge hole in my pocket with an empty purse except for the several cards i have stuffed in it..hehe…so i ll be on the hunt for a good mileage car this june, at the same time,making sure i dont compromise on the style;) hehe

Then there’s one of my best friend’s wedding coming up..might be in a few weeks..cant wait for the wedding parties(pre and post included:D )..which means june’s gonna be my weight hike month as well:D

oh yeah..Speaking of weight hike,i have decided to start a mini gym at my hostel room:D just for me okayyy..n maybe my roommate:P inshallah,post june,i d see humps popping up on my arms and shoulders:D hihihi…i hope i dont drop the dumbells on my legs though,as i had done the last time i tried lifting them:D…i d need a mini hospital in my room den:D

That pretty much sums up my June i guess…so what do you think?..exciting naa..this “june” thing;)

There are certain things,creatures,situations or even persons which all of us, in one way or the other, are scared of for no particular reason…what i mean is when you are scared of somethin that kicks the lungs outta your mouth, n that too of something which could be of no particular harm to you,then you are dealing with an unreasonable fear,technically called PHOBIAS..

Well by now you d have guessed what my phobia is about:D Yes you are right..its cockroaches:D hehehe..the very sight of them drives me nuts!!..haha

Actually its only the big ones dat bother me..the small ones i d stamp it wit my shoes n dat too in my first attempt itself:D ..hihi..Do i sound cruel?:P hehe

Now before u laugh at my fear of cockroaches n brand me “scaredy cat”:D lemme tell ya what one cockroach did to me today..n thats what prompted me to write here warning you about this “dangerous” n ” cruel” cold blooded “son of a cockroach”:D

Wondering whats wrong with me?..haha..i dont care..i d call more “gaali” at these creatures..coz one of them almost took my life today!! GOD!!.. i didnt know cockroaches could kill me..thank god i am still alive..

Now here’s what happened..i was driving in my car on the way to hospital..n because it was early morning around 6 or something,there was hardly any traffic on the road…so i was in my usual speed of 100 plus..lol..with some soft music and the sound of the ac playing in the background..i was all relaxed, lost in thoughts n dreaming about things which i dont wanna mention here;) haha..just kiddin:)

N thats when all of a sudden,outta nowhere a cockroach jumps over my face!!…n there it stood on my nose..first,i didnt know what it was, that was on my face..so i just looked at the rear view mirror of my car n there it was….

A huge meaty cockroach on my nose!!…yuckkkk…n i got my phobia attack..lol…i was like trembling in my seat..shakin myself so that this son of a bloody cockroach gets off my face:D i could hardly do that though, coz i was fastened hard to the seat by the belts…by this time,i had lost control of my car!!..rememeber i am moving at 100 plus!!

While i was thinking of chopping of my nose to get the cockroach away from me:D ,i could see through the corner of my eyes a huge tanker lorry coming towards me in the opposite direction..GOD!!..it was just some 50 meters from me n i was in the wrong lane!!..the driver was honking like mad..

N i guess it must be the primitive reflexes we all are gifted with ,that from nowhere i felt like holding on to the handbrakes!!..phew..the car stopped..that too just a few meters from the lorry…luckily my windows where closed..so i couldnt hear the “beautiful” words the foul mouthed lorry driver was saying..hihi..

i gave him a flat shameless smile,put the car in reverse mode n left the scene!!..hehe

As for the cockroach,i didnt DARE search for him in the car,..lol..i just left the doors open and used my vacuum cleaner with my eyes tightly closed, hoping it might suck up the insect wherever it was…hahaha…

well what do you say now?..Do u still think my fear of cockroaches is irrational n unreasonable…can it be called a phobia?.. i dont think sooooooo;)

PS: I am still wondering how the roach got in the car:D any guesses anybody?;)

PS inside PS:D …n dont even think about guessing it could be coz my car is dirty..i am obsessed about keeping it clean!!;)

I cant just explain how much I owe to my keyboard for all the things I write here…n I realized that after reading a few comments to an older blog of mine..lol..n those were the comments about my ever soo “beautiful” handwriting:D

They say the Chinese and the Mayan language have got the most difficult alphabets in the world!!..well….I doubt if they d come anywhere close to the English or for that matter any language written by my fingers!!:D

The story of my handwriting can be traced back to the times when I was a child..learning to write with that neatly sharpened pencil my mom would always keep ready for me in d morning so that I could take it to school in my weird looking frog shaped pencil box..lol..

N the first thing I used to do while writing with the pencil was break its tip so that I could sharpen them again…I loved sharpening pencils you know:D….so whenever I wrote in my book,there used to bits of graphite powder sprayed around dos cute little babyish alphabets..lol…n teacher would temme…Ershaddddd…write neatly!!!..n I always had that “untidy work” comment written after my class work got “corrected”..lol…

That was the kindergarten..years passed by..my handwriting kept “improving” (atleast I was writing straight now:D )..then came 5^th standard.. I had this reallyyyy tall scary looking social studies teacher…her name was Mrs Zeba..we used to call her Zebra:D hihi..n her favourite passtime used to be marking “WRITE NEATLY” in thick block letters with her red or sometimes green gel pen in my book!!..yuck..she had a worse handwriting than mine!!:D

Even then she used 2 scream at me for my poor handwriting..once i was so sleepy in the class that I kept writing the wrong things in my book and I had to keep striking them off to correct them…END RESULT: Zebra threw my book from one end of the class to the other..lol…I am laughing now,but honestly,I wept that day..

I guess she saw that,n she felt so sorry for me that from next day she was after me trying to get the IMPOSSIBLE done..IMPROVE MY HANDWRITING:D

N yes you guessed right..it never worked:D

Years passed by.. I am in college..the scene is at the hospital..we are taking down points while sir is explaining about a new patient…as usual I was scribbling down notes which only I understood n maybe a very few close friends of mine:D..End of the class,I “try” to read what I had written:D ..no chance!!..this time even I couldn’t read what I had written!!..LOL

Now for those of you wondering how my prescriptions are read at work,I have found a way outta dat..i write in block letters now:D ..n dat seems to be the perfect solution to the problem..lol..no more decoding and deciphering atleast in my prescriptions now..hihi

Before even beginning to write on this,lemme tell ya that I am a regular user of orkut n I ve enjoyed its services much like everybody..but I just couldn’t resist myself sharing just one itsy bitsy mistake that orkut’s so good with:D n that’s in counting..Orkut’s reallyyyy bad at that I swearrrrrrrr:D

Lemme give you 10 good reasons for that:

1. Once when I had logged into orkut, I noticed that the no of fans I had, kept going up and down each time I refreshed my page:D One possible reason I could think of was that either I had new fans coming in when the number went up or I lost few of them when it went down.but all that cant happen in a few seconds right!..n that too going up and down..lol
2. K here’s a better reason..i noticed that in one of my friend’s profile,the no of scraps was always zero no matter what…at first I thought it was coz she was deleting her scraps which shez so obsessed about..haha…I know you are reading this:D …but NO that wasn’t the reason..i could see 3 or 4 scraps n still it showed zero!
3. Now here’s my favourite one..lol..n yeah,I found this also in my same friend’s profile..she had posted one video..n can you guess what the no of videos was shown as?..any guesses anybody!!..you wouldn’t believe this…Minus 1!!!…LOL..

Now that’s 3 instances I can think of, where orkut sucked at counting:D …waiting for the rest seven reasons I promised in the beginning??..yeah right!!…If orkut can cheat with numbers,so can i:D adios;)

n i have some interesting facts about both the drinks btw..did u know that 7up was originally called “Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda”!!!…sheeshhhhh..now thats a loong loong name to be printed on a can!!:D

It seems 7up used to have “lithium citrate” in it!!..which is a mood stabiliser we docs give for mood disordes like depression and mania!!..haha..dont worry though..i am talking about the first edition of 7up..they have crapped all that now ( i had to say that,or Pepsi might close down my blog tomorrow..hahaha..just kiddin;) )

And sprite used to be called Lymon before..a combined word for lemon and lime…hmm..kk thats enough of history now!

Now for all u soft drink lovers,here’s the basic difference that i found out after tasting 7up and sprite at the same time..i just did that sometime back at a bthday party..so i am pretty sure;)

well 7up has got more of fragrance than taste,but its d other way around for sprite..there’s lots of corn syrup in the latter which adds to the additional after taste effect its got..so what i would suggest is,when you r having a party and serving soft drinks,get a can of 7up and sprite..open up the 7 up can, leaving the sprite can as it is, and leave them both at a distance from you..now you can enjoy the fragrance of 7up n then when u feel like drinking,open up the sprite can and gulp it down..so now you get the better “after taste” part of sprite as well

So there goes one more season without a trophy for Arsenal..n thats so heartbreaking when you watch the breath taking football they play every season.

So what went wrong this season??..should we just blame everything on poor refeering and negative defensive approaches of the opposite teams…should we like fabregas had said,think that all teams are conspiring against us!!..or should we blame it all on ill luck thats been arsenal’s 12th player all season!!

Well…maybe all these might be true..but i guess its got to do more with the inexperience that arsenal has been facing for the last few seasons.

Arsene Wenger has always been known for his eye of tracking down young gifted players n nurturing them to world class players..Cesc Fabregas,Theo walcott and Mathieue Flamini are a few to name..but whats talent without experience..talent brings you success..but thats only when the team’s playing brilliantly..but when it goes through a bad patch,you need more experienced players like Gallas(who else is there in the team as old as him!!) to give that extra bit of toughness and mental stubbornness to get through a poor form..thats chelsea for you.

In the early stages of this season,they had been going through a crisis!..Their talismanic coach Jose Mourinho shocked the world when he revealed he was leaving the club..then came rumours of drogba leaving the club..n the club itself was going through a rough time in the pitch.

Meanwhile.arsenal was playin the game of thier lives,showing the world what the beauty of playing football was all about!!..but look where’s chelsea now and where’s arsenal..a couple of experienced players into the side and you could seee wonders happening from this immensely talented yet inexperienced side..forget flamini..forget Hleb..they have left and theres nothing we can do about it now..I am hoping though that the players get a pay rise as soon as possible..else wenger could see more players leaving the club!!..and thats ridiculous,considering that all players at arsenal were reared there itself..and not costly imports like we see at other top flight clubs!!..so its sad when they leave the club where they ve learnt the ABCs of footballl.

Cant blame them though,if you compare what players at other top flight clubs earn each week!!

One thing for which i am so famous(or rather notorious for:D ) among my friends is my forgetfulness..hehe

God i can be soooo forgetful at times..and sometimes it really gets on my nerves,not to mention the amount of time and money i waste coz of my forgetfulness.

Well they say dat forgetfulness is governed by the an area called ARAS in the brain(dos who wanna know the full form,ask me in person..i dont wanna scare ppl by expandin it here..LOL)..well maybe i shud get dat thing examined first..hehe.

welll ofcourse, i ve had dis forgetfulness wit me all my life!!.

I remember when i was in school,i always used 2 forget to take my bag when goin 2 school!!..can u believe dat!!!!..well things got better later.

But now i think dis eraser has come bak again at its peak in my head..why i am sayin dis is, d other day,i was drivin my car to the hospital..i parked it at my usual place by the front of the hospital.

N den in the afternoon,when i got out from work,the dumbest thing happened to me!!…i just returned back to my quarters WALKING,having entirely forgotten that i had my car parked there!!!…n the strange part is i didnt remember this even after i reached my room..i had lunch n den had my post lunch nap as usual,all this time dat car having never flashed through my head!!!…can you believe dat?!!!…well i cant!!…hehe…and the thing is the whole thing struck my head only when my roomie asked for my car’s key n den everythin came into place in my head!!..LOL…god!!.A

And the worst part is not the walking back part to get the car,but the different versions of this story that went flashing in all directions in my college..soon i could hear all kinds of modified versions of my story with all masala added…lol..

One of them was that i had kept my car in the town while shopping n then forgot about the car only to get reminded of it after 1 month!!..LOL…what all can people make up heh?:D…haha…well,from that day onwards,the security guard at the hospital always reminds me to take my car when i am leaving the hospital.

That really irritates me at the same time bringing giggles among my dumb friends!!:D..grrrrrrrr…hehe

now 1 reason y i am able 2 write dis blog is, i dont need a pen 4 dis..i ve my sweet keyboard with me..hehe

Thats not the case at work..i need a pen..and i have this congenital disease of leaving my pen at places u d never be back for a 1000 years minimum..grr..end result..i end up begging for pens when i have 2 prescribe something at d hospital!!.

N i end up asking for one from the patients itself…sheesh…how many times have i bought a new pen early morning when i go 2 work, n leave it den in my car or maybe on top of my shelf or sometimes even in places u d never even think off..like my pocket for example..lol.

I have spent days without pens with 2 or 3 in my pocket..grrr..maybe i need to create holes in them so that the pen keeps falling 2 remind me of dem..hmm..need 2 think twice about dat though..i wouldnt want my dear mobile 2 fall off as well..its only blind now..it might turn a deaf mute if it falls again..haha.

kk dont scratch ur head on what i mean by a blind fone..dats a loong story which i ll talk on maybe in another post..hehe.

4 d time being,lemme tell ya dat i ve a fone dats got a white screen 24 hrs a day..cool right..grrrrr.

Back 2 my pens..hmm..well any1 interested in donating pens 2 me,do scrap or drop in a mail..i d gladly accept it..lol..

Dont mind about d quality though..even sticeasy pens r accepted here…haha…just one condition though..PLEASE DONT SEND PENS WITH NO INK OKAYYYY:D:D…i ve had enuf of dat frm my colleagues..grr…

well b4 u ppl think of the soviet union,its red army and all that crap,lemme tell ya i aint goin to talk on that..hehe..then wat else is this red army.

Well offcourse they are red and they come in troops..so its pretty logical to call them the red army….n yeah,their war field is somewhere we see everyday..infact dis war field is one place where we visit and explore so often dat you couldnt even imagine what i am talkin about..kk now u might be thinkin what utter nonsense am i yapping about..LOL.

Its nothing but d same old pimples..n they come in red groups on ur face which makes ur pretty face much like a battlefield for these itsy bitsy commandoes..haha..

kk wat made me write all this nonsense must be pretty obvious by now right …they ve chosen my face now as their battle field..grrrr.

When i woke up yesterday morning n looked at d mirror,i could see a clown there..haha..coz there was dis red spot on my nose n i looked like a clown or wait a min..maybe even a mickey mouse..grr.

Well i tried squeezing it..tapping it..did everything i cud possibly do…but i guess the red army was too resistant to my air strikes n bazookas..lol..well maybe i had to live with it for just a day..or at the most 2 i guess..till then wat do i do with it..

Sheesh..every1 wud be just lookin at my nose..grrr…i wouldnt want my patients to be laughing behind my back on my nose…grrrr.

kk maybe i should be takin a day off today..hmm..sounds a gr8 idea but my fella docs wud kill me 4 handin over all my work on their head..haha

Perhaps,i shud just cover my nose wit my hand everytime i meet some1..hehehe…well believe it or not..dats wat i ve been doin since yesterday..LOL..cover my nose wit my hand when i talk 2 some1…sheesh…

But then dat turned out 2 be d most foolish thing i cud do..coz every1 just wanted 2 find out wat was on my nose..grrrrrrr…

And 2 make matters worse,a friend of mine asked me…”heyyyyy ersh,when did ya buy a new nose ring 4 urself..lookin gr8 on u!!”…grrr…now that was not funny..atleast 4 me…coz every1 elz were shamelessly laughin 2 dat comment..grrrr…kk maybe i ll ve 2 live with the red troops 4 a few days after all..till then maybe,i shud just forget my nose or maybe even chop it off till the red troops leave n then stitch it back..haha..after all whats d point of me being a doc if i cant chop my nose n fit it bak..i mean ppl get their hearts transplanted,kidneys exchanged:D..then y not my nose…hmmmmmm…”sister!!!…bring the knife over please!!!:D”..here v gooooooooooooo…
